Product development manages the process of moving from your existing design, prototype, or reference product to a buyer-approved sample ready for production. It does not include industrial design, product invention from scratch, formal engineering validation, lab testing, or certification. If your product requires specialist design, engineering, testing, or certification before a specification exists, that work needs to happen before or alongside this service.
For higher-risk or larger orders, we may recommend a factory audit before committing to production tooling, or quality inspection once mass production is underway or finished.

Often yes, but custom products usually carry higher minimums than stock items because of tooling and setup costs. Part of our factory matching is finding factories whose minimums fit your launch volume.
Q2. How is my design protected when you share it with factories?

When you pay for the tooling, ownership should be yours, and the way to make that real is a written agreement. We confirm tooling ownership with the factory in writing before tooling starts, so the factory has clear restrictions on using your mold for other buyers or using it as leverage later.

A sample without new tooling often takes 1 to 2 weeks. Products that need new molds or tooling usually take 4 to 8 weeks before the first sample, depending on complexity. We confirm a realistic timeline after reviewing your files.

For straightforward products with clear documentation, 1 to 2 rounds may be enough. Complex products or tight tolerances may need more. Budget for at least one revision round when planning your launch date.
